Privacy notice

This notice covers the DiaReserve Android and iOS app. The website hosting this page may have its own notice for website visits and hosting logs.

DiaReserve helps organize stock, expiry dates and periods of use for diabetes related products and supplies. It does not require an account and has no cloud service for the information you enter. The app does not send product names, quantities, notes, batches, expiry dates, history or reminders to the publisher. That information can reveal health details and stays on your device.

The version described here does not include advertising, usage analytics, tracking or automatic crash reporting to the publisher.

The app stores the information you enter: products, categories, optional brand and model, notes, batches, quantities, expiry dates, dates and durations of items in use, history and preferences. It also stores reminder settings and technical identifiers needed to manage local notifications. Built-in product profiles are optional and do not require uploading your stock to a server.

Native builds use an encrypted local database and protect its key using secure operating system facilities. Security also depends on your device lock and settings. Notifications are generated locally; their delivery and display depend on the operating system and your settings. Do not rely on them for emergencies.

Information remains on the device until you delete it or uninstall the app, apart from copies you exported and any copies managed by the operating system. In Settings → Backup and data, you can delete stock, history and reminders. Language and appearance preferences remain set; you may need to uninstall the app to remove these local preferences as well. We have no account or server holding a copy of your locally stored information.

You can choose to save or share a JSON backup and import it later. The exported file is not encrypted: anyone with access to it can read its contents, which may reveal health details. You select the folder or service through the phone's system tools. That destination applies its own privacy and file retention rules. Importing replaces the information in the app only after a preview and confirmation.

Deleting information inside DiaReserve does not delete backup files you saved or shared elsewhere. The Android app disables automatic app backup. On iOS, if device backup is enabled, app data may be included in the backups managed by Apple according to your device settings. DiaReserve does not run its own cloud synchronization.

Tapping Email support opens your email client; it does not automatically send a message. The draft includes the app name and version and your operating system, plus space to describe your request. If you send the message, we receive your sender address, message and any additional information you choose to include. The email provider processes messages under its own privacy notice. Do not send backups, health information or other sensitive data. We do not attach files or app data automatically.

We use received messages to respond to support requests and handle any follow-up, on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing support (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We keep messages only for the time needed to respond and handle any follow-up. If we inadvertently receive health information we did not ask for, we do not use it for other purposes and handle its deletion carefully.

Opening a link to a product profile's official source takes you to an external website in your phone's browser. The visited site may receive technical information about your visit under its own notice; DiaReserve does not include your stock or notes with the link.

You can view, correct, export and delete locally stored information using the app's features. For requests about information you sent to us by email or to exercise applicable GDPR rights, contact ciuskate.apps@gmail.com. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali). We will update this page if the app's features, services or data handling change; the published notice must match the distributed app.
